Ministry Positions in DR

 

A fulltime (volunteer or missionary) Maintenance/Handyman needed. Ten buildings and seven acres of property encompass the responsibilities. Plumbing and concrete work knowledge is a plus. There is very little carpentry work. Excellent Dominican team to work with. The leader is an engineer and speaks English. Part of the responsibilities include working with two very poor Christian Schools who need significant help. Flexible schedule during the summer.

A fulltime (volunteer or missionary) Electrician needed. Ten buildings and seven acres of property encompass the responsibilities. Knowledge of generators, inverters, UPS systems, and three-phase electric service is a plus. Excellent Dominican team to work with. The leader is an engineer and speaks English. Part of the responsibilities include working with two very poor Christian Schools who need significant help. Flexible schedule during the summer.

A fulltime (volunteer or missionary) Finance Assistant needed. The school budget is in excess of $2,500,000 US with additional capital expenditures in the next year to exceed $1,000,000. Assistance is needed for budget monitoring, financial projections, donation tracking, and employee payroll. The Chief financial Officer speaks some English as do the remainder of the finance staff. Part of the responsibilities include working with two very poor Christian Schools who need significant help. Flexible schedule during the summer.

A fulltime (volunteer or missionary) Development Assistant needed. The school has embarked on a capital campaign for a multi-phase development of the campus and to assist several other very poor schools who need help. You would work with a very experienced staff and director. Flexible schedule during the summer.

A fulltime (volunteer or missionary) Partner Schools Ministry Coordinator needed. SCS is the premier Christian school in the country and is using its influence and network to help other poor Christian Schools. The coordinator would be responsible for monitoring relationships with these schools, recruiting and supervising mission's teams, and continuing to develop our vision of helping the poor schools. You would work with a very experienced staff and director. Flexible schedule during the summer.
